Digital marketing in Coimbatore, measured in enquiries not impressions

Reach and impressions don't pay salaries. We run SEO, social, and paid campaigns against the numbers that matter — enquiries received, cost per lead, and which channel actually produced them.

The problem

You're paying for marketing and can't tell what it did

The reports arrive monthly. Impressions are up. Reach is up. Follower count is up. Nobody can say how many enquiries came from any of it, or what one enquiry cost. When you ask, the answer involves the word "awareness."

Meanwhile the sales team says leads are thin, the ads budget renews automatically, and the website that all this traffic supposedly lands on hasn't been touched in two years. The problem usually isn't the individual tactics — it's that nothing is being measured end to end, so nobody knows which parts to keep.

Sound familiar?
  • Monthly reports full of numbers you can't act on
  • No idea which channel produced last month's best customer
  • Ad spend that renews without anyone reviewing the return
  • Rankings for your company name but nothing you sell
  • Leads arrive but the sales team says they're unqualified
Our approach

Measurement first, then spend

The first thing we do is make outcomes countable — form submissions, calls, and WhatsApp messages tracked as conversions, tied back to the channel and the search that produced them. Until that exists, every spending decision is a guess.

Then we work in the order that compounds. SEO and content build an asset that keeps producing after you stop paying. Paid campaigns buy immediate volume and tell you quickly which messages work. Social builds the recognition that makes both perform better. Which one leads depends on how urgently you need leads and how competitive your search terms are.

What's included

What we run

Most clients start with one and add others once the measurement is in place and the first channel is producing.

SEO and content marketing

Technical fixes, pages targeting real search intent, and content that answers what buyers ask before they buy.

Local SEO

Google Business Profile, local citations, reviews, and location pages — the work that gets you into the map results.

Social media marketing

A consistent presence on the two platforms your buyers actually use, rather than a thin one on five.

Performance marketing

Google and Meta campaigns built around search intent and buying stage, optimised on cost per qualified lead.

Conversion improvement

Fixing the pages traffic lands on. Doubling the conversion rate is usually cheaper than doubling the traffic.

Reporting that means something

One page a month: enquiries by channel, cost per lead, what we changed, what we're doing next. No 40-slide decks.

The outcome

What you should expect

You'll know what works
Within about two months you'll be able to say which channel produces enquiries and at what cost. That alone changes how you spend.
Compounding search traffic
SEO is slow and then it isn't. Rankings built this year keep delivering next year without further spend.
Paid spend that stops leaking
Most accounts we inherit waste a meaningful share of budget on search terms that were never going to convert. That's the quickest win available.
Fewer unqualified leads
Better targeting and clearer page copy means the sales team spends less time on people who were never going to buy.
Process

How we work

Marketing engagements are monthly, not project-based — but the first six weeks follow a fixed sequence.

  1. 01

    Audit

Current rankings, traffic, ad accounts, tracking setup, and competitors. Usually finds two or three things worth fixing immediately.

  2. 02

    Fix measurement

Analytics, conversion tracking, call and WhatsApp tracking, Search Console. Nothing else matters until this is right.

  3. 03

    Agree the target

Which enquiries you actually want, how many, and what one is worth to you. That number decides where the budget goes.

  4. 04

    Run and adjust

Monthly cycles. Content published, campaigns adjusted, technical fixes shipped, and the reasoning behind each change written down.

  5. 05

    Report and decide together

One page of numbers, one call. We agree what to do more of and what to stop. Things get stopped.

Why Astera

Why work with us on marketing

We can fix the website too

Most agencies hit a wall when the problem is the site itself. Our developers are in the same office, so the fix takes days rather than a separate vendor conversation.

You keep every account

Ad accounts, analytics, and Search Console stay in your name with us as users. If you leave, you keep the history and the data.

No lock-in contracts

Monthly. If it isn't producing, you should be able to stop, and a twelve-month tie-in mostly protects the agency.

We tell you when to stop spending

If a channel isn't working we say so, even when it reduces our own retainer. That's the whole basis of being useful for more than six months.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Something not answered here? Ask us directly — we answer questions before quoting, not after.

How long before we see results from digital marketing?

It depends heavily on the channel. Paid campaigns produce enquiries within days, though the first month is mostly learning which terms convert. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work often shows movement in four to eight weeks. Competitive organic rankings take three to six months, sometimes longer. Anyone promising first-page rankings in 30 days is either targeting terms nobody searches or isn't being straight with you.

What should we budget for digital marketing?

Two separate numbers: the management fee and the ad spend. For a small business in Coimbatore, a meaningful monthly retainer plus a modest ad budget is a realistic starting point, and we'd rather start smaller and scale what works than start big. If your ad budget is very small, we'll usually recommend putting everything into SEO and local search first, because thin paid budgets don't gather enough data to optimise.

Can you guarantee first-page rankings?

No, and neither can anyone else honestly — Google's results aren't ours to control, and they differ by person and location. What we can commit to is the work: technical fixes, content that targets real search intent, and transparent reporting on where you rank and where the traffic goes. If someone guarantees rankings, ask which keywords, and you'll usually find they're terms with no search volume.

Do we need to be on every social platform?

No, and trying to be is why most business social accounts look neglected. Two platforms done consistently beats five done occasionally. Which two depends on your buyers — LinkedIn and Google for B2B and professional services, Instagram and Facebook for consumer and local retail. We'd rather you post twice a week well on two platforms than daily and badly on all of them.

What happens to our rankings if we stop working with you?

Organic rankings decay slowly rather than disappearing — the content and technical work stay in place and keep producing for months. Paid campaigns stop the day you stop paying. That asymmetry is exactly why we push SEO and content alongside paid rather than only running ads: one leaves you with an asset, the other leaves you with nothing.

How do you report on the work?

One page a month, plus a call. Enquiries received, which channel produced them, cost per lead where there's paid spend, what we changed since last month, and what we're doing next. You get access to the live dashboards too, so you're never waiting on us to know how things are going.
